I had always heard of Arapahoe Basin but for some reason I never thought it would be a good place to ski at. Boy was I mistaken. It’s a smaller ski resort with out all the hoity toity of Vail. That’s a big bonus in my book. It’s super steep, super bumby and never crowded. This year I gave in and bought three passes. Glad I did.
What your looking at is, I believe, the East Wall. Starting from the right of the photo, skiers would hike up the back side of the mountain and ski down the front through these really narrow shoots. My goal is to do that next year.
